About Haptic Theory
My name is Josh Baker. I’m a Web and graphic designer with front- and back-end development skills. I create innovative, W3 standards-compliant designs with emphasis on interactivity and accessibility.
I am self-taught and proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, RSS, AJAX, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver and the Microsoft Office platform.
I am experienced in XML, WordPress CMS, Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and the Apple iLife Suite.
I am familiar with ASP.NET, ActionScript, Visual Basic and C++.
I test all of my code across a broad range of Web browers to ensure correct rendering and cross-platform compatibility to deliver the optimal user experience.
I operate under the name Haptic Theory because word haptic means related to or based on the sense of touch, and I strive to create designs so engaging they seem real enough to touch.
